Self-Catering Stays

Self-catering stays at Longtown are perfect for groups that are wanting to get together and explore the wild and beautiful landscape of our local area.

When you book your self catering stay with us, you will be given your own accommodation block and access to our commercial kitchen, dining spaces, communal areas and grounds.

Our flexible accommodation gives lots of options for groups of different sizes; you can stay in our Court House that sleeps up to 40, our Monnow Wing that sleeps up to 33 or in the summer season you can sleep in our bell tents which accommodate up to 60. We can offer a half day or a full day of activities at an additional cost if you would like to have some adventure sessions during your stay. Click here to find out about our activities.

The Court House

The charming and historic Court House provides a warm and comfortable base and sleeps up to 40 people.

It has eleven rooms that are split over two floors and sleeps between one and eight people in each. There are wash basins in all the bedrooms and toilets on the central landing and the top floor. The shower facilities and drying rooms are in the separate shower block in the courtyard.

It has two communal lounge areas which lead out onto the centre lawns.

Base Camp

Our Base Camp is situated within an enclosed section of the centre’s beautiful grounds and sleeps up to 60 people.

It has twelve bell tents and each accommodates up to 8 children or up to 4 adults. The bell tents come with sleeping mats for children and mattresses for adults. There is also a dedicated toilet and shower block which is contained within the campsite grounds.

Our Base Camp is next to the Hive, a timber clad building which provides a dining and social space.

Base Camp is available between May to August.

The Monnow Wing

Our Monnow Wing provides light and airy accommodation and can sleep up to 30 people.

It has 10 rooms split over two floors and sleeps between two and four people in each. Three of the upstairs bedrooms are en-suite, and the other bedrooms have wash basins. There are toilets on both floors and the shower facilities and drying rooms are in the courtyard. The Monnow Wing has increased access for those with restricted mobility

There is also a communal lounge that leads to a decked verandah.
