The Role

We are seeking a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Outdoor Learning Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to the delivery of high quality outdoor learning and adventure for children and young people.

This is a practical, hands-on role that requires both technical and facilitation skills. Our programmes are tailored to the diverse needs of our customers, including those with physical, sensory, learning and behavioural needs.

The Longtown Team

We have a team of around 14 people, including apprentices, with some living onsite and others living in neighbouring towns and villages. We also have a network of 8-10 freelance instructors. As we are a small team, it is important that we work closely together and support each other to deliver the best customer experience we can. Which is why everyone helps out in different departments when required.

About the Trust

We believe that all young people should have the opportunity to strengthen their resilience, build confidence, and grow through transformative experiences in the outdoors.

Our charitable activities focus on:

  • Outdoor learning and adventure that inspires personal growth and resilience.

  • Expert advice and training that enables educators to organise safe, memorable and impactful educational visits and outdoor learning experiences.

If you share this vision and would like to be a part of our small, dedicated team, we would love to hear from you.
